Installation
Install Aroyn UI v0.1.0 in Windows PC / Potassium with the official pinned public download.
Execution requirements#
Use a Roblox Luau executor with native UI objects and the platform services TweenService, UserInputService, GuiService, TextService and HttpService (JSON only). The caller selects Parent, normally PlayerGui. Local installation needs readfile and loadstring; public installation needs the executor’s game:HttpGet and loadstring. Loading the artifact does not create a window or input listeners.
Public installation#
Use the official version-pinned command below. Remote loadstring executes code with executor capabilities: trust and audit its source. SHA256SUMS and manifest.json accompany the artifact; a checksum from the same compromised host alone does not establish authenticity.
local Aroyn = loadstring(game:HttpGet(
"https://lib.aroyn.xyz/stable/0.1.0/Aroyn.lua"
))()Pinned versions and Latest#
Stable v0.1.0 uses immutable /stable/0.1.0/Aroyn.lua bytes. Latest uses /latest/Aroyn.lua and currently points to the same approved Stable. Prefer the pinned version for predictable dependencies; Latest may change with a future approved release. UI Library v0.1.0 and Script Hub 4.3.95 are independent products. This library needs no Dashboard account, game controller or hidden telemetry.
local Aroyn = loadstring(game:HttpGet(
"https://lib.aroyn.xyz/latest/Aroyn.lua"
))()Local standalone installation#
In aroyn-ui-distribution-phase9b, run python build.py. Copy dist/Aroyn.lua into the executor’s file workspace as AroynUI/Aroyn.lua. A Windows Documents path is not automatically available through executor readfile. The artifact includes the approved core, actual logo and seven-cell navigation atlas; no original project files are required at runtime.
assert(type(readfile) == "function" and type(loadstring) == "function",
"Local installation requires readfile and loadstring")
local Aroyn = assert(loadstring(readfile("AroynUI/Aroyn.lua")))()
local parent = game:GetService("Players").LocalPlayer:WaitForChild("PlayerGui")Embedded assets and fallback#
The standalone adapter writes only digest-named PNGs under AroynUI/assets and registers them with getcustomasset or getsynasset. It uses a built-in Luau base64 decoder, no external image host. Existing bytes are checked before cache reuse when readfile exists. makefolder/isfolder are optional: without folder creation, the directory must already exist or registration reports a failure.
| Asset | Geometry | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Navigation atlas | 896×128; seven 128×128 cells | Aroyn.IconAtlas; original UI mapping and antialiasing preserved. |
| Approved logo | 256×256 | Pass Logo=Aroyn.Logo in CreateWindow; the core does not implicitly read this field. |
| Asset status | Aroyn.Distribution.Assets | Status Ready/Partial/Unavailable; Images and Errors describe actual registration results. |
Configuration and repeat execution#
The existing configuration API is unchanged. readfile and writefile select File mode; otherwise Session mode lasts for that window. Namespaces remain under AroynUILab/configs for backward compatibility. AutoLoad/AutoSave are opt-in and restoration is silent by default. Use one library object for related windows. Repeated loading creates no GUI; a later CreateWindow with the same Parent and Id replaces only an Aroyn-owned window. Destroy your application’s windows and its own listeners explicitly.
ModuleScript alternative#
For Studio, place the approved core in a ModuleScript and provide already available Roblox image URIs. Executor filesystem/custom-asset APIs are not standard Studio APIs. Studio rendering is unverified here; the distribution file is intended for compatible executors.
local Aroyn = require(script.Parent:WaitForChild("Aroyn"))
local parent = game:GetService("Players").LocalPlayer:WaitForChild("PlayerGui")
local window = Aroyn:CreateWindow({Parent = parent, Id = "studio-local"})Continue#
Supported environments and distribution#
| Environment | Evidence |
|---|---|
| Windows PC / Potassium | Owner-tested public download, components, notifications, floating launcher and earlier configuration persistence. |
| Other Windows executors | Not verified. |
| Android / iOS | Not verified; browser viewport emulation does not prove library device compatibility. |
| Roblox Studio | Not established as officially supported; executor file/custom-asset APIs are not standard Studio APIs. |
Version 0.1.0 is an early product version, not a permanently frozen API promise. Missing filesystem/custom-asset capabilities use documented Session/degraded asset behavior. No Dashboard authentication is required.
